This is a very unusual and beautiful hybrid clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris x Amphiprion percula). Just like a snowflake clownfish, no two patterns are exactly alike but all are intricate and beautiful. These guys are similar to snowflake clowns but they have more black in them and white areas are actually highlighted by light blue! They prefer the following anemones: Heteractis magnifica, Entacmaea quadricolor, Stichodactyla gigantea and Heteractis crispa. Since the popular movie Finding Nemo, this has been one of the most popular fish in the saltwater aquarium hobby. The clown anemonefish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is beautiful hardy and a great community fish. They prefer the following anemones: Heteractis magnifica, Entacmaea quadricolor, Stichodactyla gigantea and Heteractis crispa. They will occasionally go into other anemones but the later are preferred.

Foods & Feeding:

A variety of foods, including Mysis Shrimp, Omega One Super Brine Shrimp, Cyclop-eeze, chopped seafood, seaweed flakes. They will also eat a variety of marine and spirulina flake foods. Omega One Super Color flake food or other pigment rich flake foods are also recommended. Feed twice a day.

This color of Ocellaris Clown is found in the wild around Darwin Island, Australia. They aren't quite solid black as juveniles but once they reach about 1.5"-1.75" they take on the all black coloration. ORA Tank Raised Australian Rubrocinctus Clownfish

This very rare clownfish looks almost like the Tomato and Cinnamon Clownfishes but is definately, genetically, a different species. It is rarely encountered in the trade because of its restricted distribution range on the Northwestern coast of Australia. ORA is one of the few breeders of this rare collectors clown. This clown hosts in Bubble-Tip Anemones and Merten's Carpet Anemones, it also has been know to host in coral if there is no Anemone present.
